Different Tech Roles

In just 2.5 months, linq supported PwC Greece in filling 28 job positions, achieving an outstanding success rate: 37% of the candidates who made it to the shortlist were eventually hired. And all this in a region with limited access to highly specialized talent. PwC Greece, headquartered in Maroussi, Athens, and with more than 1,000 employees, operates in the consulting sector, offering specialized services to businesses worldwide. When PwC decided to expand its operations in the Thessaly region by creating a new hub in Volos, linq took on the challenge of finding talent in a provincial area. Through innovative solutions and its expertise, linq managed to achieve impressive results in record time.

The Challenge

The creation of PwC’s new Hub in Volos was not a simple process. The Thessaly region, with cities like Trikala, Karditsa, Larisa, and Lamia, has a limited talent pool, making the process of finding suitable candidates particularly challenging. Additionally, the project coincided with the holiday periods of March and Easter, which traditionally cause delays in recruitment processes, such as sending assessments and conducting interviews. These circumstances required our team at linq to implement a flexible and strategic approach to ensure the project’s success.

The Solution

To meet the challenge, we adopted an advanced and targeted strategy, combining technological innovation with our human-centered philosophy. linq did not follow the traditional recruitment approach. Instead, we leveraged the most modern techniques and tools at our disposal to ensure a fast and effective talent search. We were proactive from the start, initiating direct communications with the local universities in Thessaly to promote PwC’s job openings to final-year students and graduates from technical schools.

By utilizing our specialized job-matching algorithm and deep market knowledge, we quickly identified the most suitable candidates. We didn’t just rely on resumes – we went beyond that, focusing on soft skills and the overall suitability of candidates for PwC’s consulting environment. We created a personalized experience for the candidates, helping them understand PwC’s culture and requirements, ensuring that the final selections were perfectly tailored to the company’s needs.

Results

The results of our efforts were outstanding, demonstrating linq’s effectiveness in high-level recruitment. Within 2.5 months, we successfully completed 28 hires for PwC Greece, despite the challenges posed by the holiday periods. Specifically, the hires included:

  • 12 Data Engineers
  • 6 Software Developers
  • 2 DevOps Engineers
  • 4 AI Experts
  • 4 Cyber Security Specialists

Notably, the success rate was remarkably high, as out of the 75 profiles sent for evaluation, 28 hires were made. This means that nearly 37% of the candidates selected for interviews were eventually hired. These results highlight linq’s unique expertise and our advanced, proprietary technology, which enable us to identify and recruit the right talent with speed and precision.

Furthermore, the variety of roles hired – Data Engineers, Software Developers, DevOps Engineers, AI Experts, and Cyber Security Specialists – reflects linq’s ability to successfully meet PwC Greece’s diverse needs, covering critical roles in a complex technological environment.

Despite the challenges, linq managed to complete 28 hires in 2.5 months, averaging around 11 hires per month, or 1 hire every 2.5 days, showcasing impressive speed and efficiency.

PwC Greece was highly satisfied with the results, emphasizing the positive communication and project management from our side. The successful completion of this project has led to a new collaboration with PwC, this time for the Audit Assurance Program in Athens.

Conclusion

PwC Greece’s project in Thessaly was a significant test for linq, as we were tasked with managing a project under high pressure and strict deadlines. This experience allowed us to showcase our capabilities in handling complex projects, while our success with PwC Greece demonstrates our ability to rise to challenges and deliver high-quality results.

Our ongoing collaboration with PwC Greece for the Audit Assurance Program highlights the trust the company has placed in us and provides an opportunity to further strengthen our relationship with them.
