Aisera, a leading Software Development company based in Palo Alto, California, needed to fill a critical role: the recruitment of a specialized Front-End Developer for its Greek Tech Hub, as part of its expansion strategy in the European market. In an environment of increasing demand and limited available talent, the hiring process was lengthy and put the company at risk of losing top candidates. linq took action, implementing a targeted recruitment strategy that not only expedited the process, but ensured the ideal candidate was recruited, giving Aisera the competitive advantage it needed to continue its upward trajectory.
The Challenge
Aisera faced several challenges in the search for the right Front-End Developer for its Greek Hub. The candidate had to have not only technical skills, but also the flexibility to work with teams in different time zones – America and India. The recruitment process was highly demanding, with 6 stages of interviews involving five different people from three continents. In addition, the position required excellent English language skills and the ability to work in a flexible hours environment due to the varying schedules of the company’s associates.
Another major challenge for Aisera was the lengthy recruitment process. The complex recruitment process of 6-stage interviews increased the risk of losing top candidates, while the geographical dispersion of the teams made finding a candidate who could respond to these conditions even more difficult. The protracted recruitment process could take weeks, resulting in the loss of candidates who might have gone on to sign contracts with other companies. Expectations for the new Front-End Developer were high, and the need to find the right candidate quickly and efficiently was critical to the continued growth of Aisera’s Tech Hub.
The Solution
To address the challenges posed by Aisera, linq adopted a talent search strategy focused on passive candidates. We focused on finding professionals who were not actively in the process of changing employers, with the goal of enabling them to complete the demanding recruitment process without being in an advanced stage of discussions with other companies. At the same time, we used our state-of-the-art tools to identify candidates who met the technical requirements of the position, but also had the ability to work with an international team.
Our strategy included targeted candidate sourcing and searching our database to identify passive candidates who could meet Aisera’s requirements. With access to over 270,000 profiles of qualified professionals and having worked with more than 5,500 companies worldwide, we were able to quickly identify the right candidates who could successfully navigate the complex recruitment process. We used the capabilities of our talent matching algorithms to quickly identify candidates with the right technical background and cultural fit, speeding up the profile filtering process.
The strategy also included conducting initial telephone interviews to speed up the process and ensure that candidates had the right background. To save time, we grouped stages 3 and 4 of the interviews into a single back-to-back session lasting 1.5 hours, significantly reducing the overall time required to get to the final interviews.
Throughout the process, the linq team provided ongoing support and feedback to both the candidates and Aisera’s hiring managers. We created personalized preparation guides for candidates, which included company information and interview tips to ensure candidates were fully prepared. Constant communication with Aisera’s HR manager allowed us to keep the process organized and ensure that everything was progressing within the set timeframe.
Results
The linq strategy paid off, as within 28 days we delivered the final shortlisted candidates, while the candidate who was ultimately hired was sent to Aisera within only 9 days of the project analysis. In 62 working days in total we filled the position with an excellent Front-End Developer who met all the specifications set by Aisera. Out of the 6 profiles we forwarded for evaluation, the final candidate was selected as the ideal fit for the company. Our flexibility in managing the recruitment process, such as grouping interviews and targeted communication with candidates, contributed to the speed and efficiency of the process
